Items Not Removed

To ensure a smooth and efficient junk removal service with SafeMove SETX, we want to provide you with a clear list of items that we cannot move. This helps you avoid any last-minute surprises and make appropriate arrangements when needed. Here's what you should know:

Items we cannot move during junk removal include:

  1. Asbestos: For safety reasons, we cannot handle asbestos-containing materials.
  2. Medical Waste or Medical Supplies: This includes any items categorized as medical waste or medical supplies.
  3. Household Trash or Garbage: Standard household trash and garbage should be managed through your local waste collection services.
  4. Liquid-Based Items and Hazardous Materials: We are unable to transport items like wet paint, chemicals, household cleaners, HAZMAT materials, propane, or other flammable items, oil filters, batteries, or mercury-based items due to safety regulations.

Items that may be restricted:

While we can assist with the disposal of many items, some materials may have certain restrictions or guidelines set by local regulations. These include:

  1. Appliances with Liquids: Appliances such as AC units, freezers, or dehumidifiers must be emptied of any liquids before removal.
  2. Heavy and Dense Materials: Items like concrete, asphalt, dirt, brick, roofing shingles, and other miscellaneous debris may be subject to weight or disposal limitations. It's important to check with your local office for specific regulations.
  3. Yard Waste: Yard waste, including trees, brush, grass, mulch, sod, and other vegetative waste, can be removed within certain guidelines. However, it's essential not to mix these materials with other junk, as they may have specific recycling or disposal requirements.
  4. Tires: In general, disposal facilities may not accept tires. To dispose of tires properly, you can contact a local tire recycling center or business to inquire about their services.

If you have any questions or need further clarification about what can or cannot be moved during your junk removal service, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We're here to assist you and ensure that your junk removal process proceeds smoothly and in compliance with local regulations. Your satisfaction and safety are our top priorities.

Common Questions

  • What type of truck do you use?

We only use 24 and 26 foot box trucks. Every truck has professional moving pads, dollies, toolkits, bungies, and everything else necessary to get you from point A to point B in the same condition you left in!

  • Is there a deposit? What happens if I need to cancel?

We do not require a deposit in order to do a move with us. If you have to cancel or reschedule, all we ask is that you let us know as soon as possible so that we have an opportunity to fill the spot you left vacant and get you rebooked into another time that will work for you.

  • When do I pay for my move?

At the end of the move, the movers will stop the clock and then let you know the total cost of the move. We accept all major credit cards, cash, and checks.

  • How much can you fit into a truck?

We have 26 foot box trucks which typically fit the equivalent of an 1800 square foot home. This of course depends on the individual, but this is a realistic expectation for the average moves we do.
