Payment Terms & Conditions


Phone Estimates: To provide you with an accurate estimate, we rely on the Inventory List you provide. This list helps us determine the number of movers and hours your move will require, aiding in scheduling and accurate cost estimation. Please note that the estimate is based on your home being packed and ready for the move. Any significant additions to your inventory after submitting the list may extend the move duration and result in increased costs.


Cancellations/Rescheduling: To receive a full deposit refund, we require a minimum 72-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling.


Payment Options: SafeMove SETX accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, as well as cash.


Additional Charges: There may be additional charges for services not included in the original estimate, such as extra pickups, deliveries, door removal/replacement, last-minute packing at the carrier's request, or any service deemed extraordinary.


Bulky Items: Items like pool tables, pianos, riding lawn mowers, safes, gun safes, hot tubs, motorcycles, and others may incur a "bulky item" charge in addition to the hourly rate.


Arrival Times: We provide an estimated window of arrival and make every effort to arrive within that timeframe. However, please note that this is an estimate, and we will notify you promptly if there are any changes. Ensure we have a contact number for you on moving day.


Inclement Weather: In cases of inclement weather, additional costs may arise due to staging difficulties. While we do our best to prevent weather-related damage, we cannot guarantee it. Crew assistance with snow and ice removal is available at an extra cost.


Firearms: We are not responsible for firearms, so please remove them before your move.


Travel Time: This accounts for the time it takes our crew to travel from our office to the job site and back.


TV's: Plasma and Flat Screen/Flat Panel TVs can be sensitive to temperature, bumps, and altitude changes. It's best to use their original packaging for moving. If not, they must be properly crated or packed in their original boxes, incurring an additional charge. Consider our packing service for these items.


If You Pack: We offer packing supplies, and it's essential to pack everything in boxes, not paper or plastic bags. Seal and tape the tops and bottoms of boxes, clearly marking their destination and "FRAGILE" as needed.


Contents of Drawers: For pressed wood or particle board furniture, all drawers must be empty. Desk drawers must be emptied, while standard file cabinets (2 drawers only) can remain packed if locked or securely taped shut. Lateral and fireproof file cabinets must be emptied. You may leave clothing in dresser drawers but remove fragile, valuable, and heavy items.


Elevators: Coordinate with your building supervisor to reserve and pad the elevator for your move day. Note any time restrictions.


Damages: At the start of the move, our foreman will discuss wrapping/packing options and their associated costs for protecting your belongings. If you decline these services and sign a release of liability, SafeMove SETX will not be responsible for any subsequent damage. While our movers take utmost care, damages may occur occasionally. If damage occurs, inform your movers immediately and note it on your contract. For damages discovered after the move, contact our office within 5 days, but please note that no damage claims will be honored until moving service charges are paid in full. Damages to particle board furniture will not be reimbursed. SafeMove SETX is liable only for items in our immediate care, custody, and control.
